As part of its ongoing support of the sport of gymnastics, GK supplied the participants of USA Gymnastics T&T JumpStart program with gymnastics apparel for their January 12-13th camp at the Karolyi Ranch in Huntsville, Texas.  The JumpStart Program "identifies future elite athletes at a young age and educates their coaches on proper fitness and skill development. Under Armour & USA Gymnastics today announced that Under Armour, Inc., the Baltimore, MD-based leader in athletic performance gear, will provide performance apparel, footwear, and accessories for the USA Gymnastics athletes, coaches, and staff for the next eight years, through the 2020 Olympic Games.  This is the brand’s first sponsorship of a national governing body for a summer Olympic sport.

As part of this exciting agreement, Under Armour will also collaborate with GK Elite Sportswear to create the U.S. National Team competition apparel for men's gymnastics, women's gymnastics, and trampoline & tumbling.  GK has been the exclusive manufacturer of competitive gymnastics apparel for the U.S. National Team since 2000.  “GK Elite is proud to be partnering with Under Armour and USA Gymnastics for the next two Olympic cycles,” said Kelly McKeown, EVP of Corporate Relations.

Designated as the official performance apparel and footwear outfitter, Under Armour will provide national team members with competition, conditioning and training apparel, accessories and footwear, including competition gymnastics leotards. USAG's Talent Opportunity Program (TOPs), is a talent search & educational program for female gymnasts ages 7-10 and their coaches. The pinnacle of the TOPs gymnastics program each year is the National TOP Training Camp held at the Karolyi Ranch in Huntsville, Texas each December.  GK is proud to outfit the hard working young gymnasts who attend the TOPs camp each year.

The inaugural JET Gymnastics Pink Ribbon Invitational was held in Lakewood, Colorado on October 26-28, 2012.  The event committed its profits to Breast Cancer Research.  Over 500 gymnasts, Levels 4 through 6, participated in this first-ever invitational in Colorado.  Meet Director, J.A. Dominguez, estimated the competition donation at $10,000 and is anticipating a larger, statewide event for 2013.

Two time Olympic gold medal champion Gabby Douglas visited Live with Kelly & Michael yesterday to show them some of her gold medal moves on her signature apparatus, the uneven bars.  Gabby, Kelly, and Michael were outfitted with the best gymnastics apparel by Elite Sportswear, of course.

USA Gymnastics' Trampoline and Tumbling (T&T) Olympic Development Program (ODP) is a bridge between the Junior Olympic and Junior Elite levels. The program provides a training camp, coaches' education, and an ODP team named based on ranking from the ODP Divisions at three competitions. At their recent International Exchange Camp, the athletes trained in IN STOCK women's gymnastics leotards and boy's gymnastics shirts and pants from GK.

The country's best Level 10 gymnasts met and competed at the 2012 U.S. Women's Jr. Olympic National Championships at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia on May 11-12, 2012.  Just under the elite level, Level 10 is the highest level in the Jr. Olympics program.  Athletes from each of the eight USA Gymnastics regions came ready to compete.

Continuing a now ten-year tradition, GK supplied gymnastic apparel for the JO athletes including a long sleeve gymnastics leotard and a warm up.  GK representatives were on site in Virginia to hand out the apparel to the athletes.  The athletes were very excited to receive their GK box containing the weekend's wardrobe!

Each athlete received GK's Classic Jeweled Tank Leo Style 3599, from their region in Black Nylon/Spandex, White Sparkle, and one of eight beautiful Mystique fabric colors.  The tank leotard was embellished with their region number in silver sequinz.  For competition, GK supplied the athletes with a Classic Square Neck Long Sleeve Gymnastics Leotard Style 4804, made of Black/Nylon Spandex, coordinating Mystique fabrics, and embellished with Clear Crystals on the front chest.  GK also supplied warm ups for all of the athletes made of Black Stretch Woven, White Stretch Woven, and White Tech Mesh, with their region number on the front and the JO logo on the back of the warm up jacket.

For the 1996 Atlanta games, GK outfitted four Olympic teams from all over the world.  As more and more teams wanted to wear GK, the demand was almost overwhelming.  Teams and athletes had unique requests and made many changes, up to the last minute.  In keeping with our goal of excellent service, some apparel was hand carried to Atlanta to meet those last minute needs.

GK appeared on the podium over and over again, best of all - for the Women's All Around Gold Medal - won by Lilia Podkopayeva from the Ukraine.  GK outfitted the Ukrainian national team, a gymnastics powerhouse, for the next eight years.

GK has been part of every Olympics since 1992!  For two decades, GK has provided competitive gymnastics leotards, workout wear, and warm ups for artistic gymnastic teams and trampoline teams from all over the world.  The GK Olympic Tradition began at the Barcelona Games. 

GK was awarded the National Team Contract and outfitted the U.S. Olympic Team in competitive apparel for the first time.  GK manufactured both the warm-up and competition apparel for the U.S. Men's and Women's Gymnastic Teams.  As a result, the GK brand appeared on national television.  Pictures of our Olympians wearing the GK logo appeared in national publications and on the cover of "TV Guide."

The Kalon Ludvigson Invitational was held at the Utah Olympic Oval on March 17, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The event is in its second year of becoming an annual competition and this year's was the largest tumbling competition in Utah history with 543 athletes competing in 1,128 events!  Athletes came from Canada, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. 

Kalon Ludvigson, a senior elite athlete who trains at Team Revolution in Pocatello, Idaho, hosted the event.  Kalon is the most decorated U.S. Athlete in Trampoline and Tumbling History.  He has won 19 World Cup and World Championship Medals and is the only American to hold a World Record for Degree of Difficulty in tumbling, which he has claimed twice, once in 2008 and again in 2011.  Kalon has garnered an international reputation with all of his success so far.

Flashes of beautiful pink and black GK gymnastics leotards were everywhere at the 3rd Annual Nastia Liukin Cup, Friday, March 2, 2012 at New York City's Madison Square Garden.  GK is proud to have sponsored the Nastia Liukin Cup for the third consecutive year.  The Nastia Liukin Cup has grown every year in its endeavor to provide a high level competition opportunity for top Junior Olympians.  Qualifiers for the event are held throughout the year leading up to the competition as part of the Nastia Liukin Cup Series lending even more valuable experience for young gymnasts that they might not have otherwise.

34 athletes earned a spot at the competition in 2012 and were outfitted by GK with a tank leotard, a long sleeve competition leotard, and warm ups.  In addition, each competitor got to meet and have their picture taken with Nastia! The tank leo was made of Berry Storm and Black Mystique fabric and the competition leotards were made of Berry and Black Mystique fabric.  Sparkle was added to each leotard with heat-transferred jewels. 

Charity Jones from Dynamo Gymnastics in Miami, Oklahoma captured this year's coveted Nastia Liukin Cup title.  Charity posted a score of 38.075 capturing the All Around win.  Congratulations Charity!

Maccabi USA celebrates Jewish Unity, Culture, and Heritage through world athletic competition.  GK supplied the gymnasts of the U.S. National Team with competition leotards, workout leotards and warm-ups for the 12th Maccabi Pan Am Games held in Sao Paulo, Brazil December 26, 2011 through January 2, 2012. 

Abbe Shapiro, parent of current US Gymnastics Team Member Nicole Shapiro and former 5-year member, Samantha Shapiro, said, "We were thrilled to receive the box of GK leotards!  The leos and warm-ups are gorgeous! I am well aware of the stunning leotards GK has created for the U.S. National Team over the years and the leotards and warm-ups for the Maccabi Pan Am Games certainly were on par.  We are very grateful for the generosity shown by GK in helping to make the Maccabi Pan Am Games a very exciting and special experience for the gymnasts!"

The athletes sported their Team USA pride in GK's Sporty Asymmetrical Comp Leo 4854 in Navy Mystique, White Sparkle and Red Mystique with Clear Crystals and GK's Sporty Cross Body Gym Leo 4858 in Navy Mystique, White Sparkle and Red Mystique with Brilliance Crystals.  For training, the gymnasts wore GK's Blue & White Striped Tank Leo 3665, Blue Zig Zag Trim Workout Leo 3594 and Blue & Red Asymmetrical Tank 3672.  In between events, Team USA sported GK's Mystique & Velvet Warm Ups 1788 with USA embroidered in white on the left chest. 

Congratulations to Team USA on their Gold Medal Win at the games!  The team took home a total of 7 Gold medals and 6 Silver medals including Team Gold and Individual All Around Gold for Nicole Shapiro and All Around Silver for Lauren De Meno.
