Last Friday the Future Stars of Mens Gymnastics competed in USA-Gymnastics Future Stars National Championships at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs Colorado. As a long time supported of USA-Gymnastics development programs, GK again dontated Gymnastics Warm Up Suits to all participants (Athletes and coaches) at the event!

The Future Stars program is designed is to identify talented athletes and to get them started on the right developmental path to national and international success. The program uses a special competitive routine format to evaluate the skill, strength and flexibility development of the athlete.

The Future Stars National Championships features the USA’s best 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds in the United States who perform special Future Stars competitive routines. Based on the results at the championships, USA Gymnastics identifies the Future Stars Developmental Team, which includes the top 18 gymnasts in both the 10- and 11-year-old divisions and 14 gymnasts in the 12-year-old division. The top nine athletes in the 10- and 11-year-old divisions and the top seven athletes in the 12-year-old division will be invited to a special Future Stars camp to be held at the USOTC next summer.
The Future Stars National Championships are held in conjunction with the National Coaches Workshop, the premier educational event for the men’s program. In addition to the competition, Future Stars athletes and their parents will be able to participate in workshop activities that feature lectures, technical presentations, and hands-on coaching sessions. Presenters include Junior National Coaching Staff members, National Team coaches, sports science personnel, USOC staff and special guests.

With so many athletes in GK at the same event, it is a challenge to keep everyone looking unique and set apart. We outfitted a total of 24 clubs for this one single event (and that doesn’t even include the men’s clubs!), and there were 48 different leotard style/ color combinations and 30 warm-up styles. On Prelim night for the senior women, 18 of the 19 competitors were in GK. On Finals night, the magic number was achieved – 100% GK! The challenge now for next year is 100% both nights, while still giving everyone of them a feeling of being the best out there!

USA Gymnastics - Women’s Gymnastics Junior Olympic National Championships are are taking place May 14-16 in Puyallup, Washington.
As has been our Tradition, GK is providing regional apparel for all the competing gymnasts and Coaches. Gymnasts receive a Long Sleeve Leotard - specially colored for their reqion - as well as a Warm up suit and goodie

In this the second part of our gymnastics warm up series we will introduce you to our Special Order Traditional Warm-Ups. As a quick recap, in part 1 we described traditional gymnastics warm ups to typically have a fuller/looser cut. They are also more classic athletic fit and styling, which makes them perfectly suited for both men and women. That description still stands in regards to our special order traditional gymnastics warm-ups.

The main difference between these gymnastics warm-ups and our other varieties is that these gymnastics warm-ups are typically a fuller/looser cut. They also possess a more classic athletic fit and styling. They are not form fitting, which makes these great suited for both men and women alike.
Our in-stock gymnastics warm-ups are a great budget conscience addition for our gymnastics leotards, gymnastics wear and other gymnastics apparel we offer. The warm-up jackets and pants are sold separately to ensure your perfect fit for your gymnastics wear layering needs. So, to guarantee your perfect gymnastics outfit you’ll need to make sure you purchase both your jacket and pant.
Our warm-up jackets are available as unisex only. So, all jackets will be cut identical for both your male and female gymnasts. They are both a full cut, straight leg style with no binding or piping. They have an elasticized waist and side seam pockets. We choose not to offer these as unisex because we recognize the needs of male and female athletes are different in their pant styles. So, we have engineered cuts specifically for men and women in our traditional warm-up pants. Giving the extra comfort and fit GK is known through the gymnastics community for possessing.
