Holly Thomas joined the GK Elite Sportswear family in the fall of 2011. She may be new to GK, but she is not new to Northern California. Holly has been active in the Northern California gymnastics community for over 25 years as a gymnast, a coach, and as a nationally rated judge.

Holly competed at the club level through Class I until the age of 13. She stayed with the sport, starting to coach at age 16 and judging at age 17.  When she began college at The University of California, Davis, she took a tumbling class just for fun. The class instructor was also the coach of the UCDavis women’s gymnastic team invited Holly to join the team. As unlikely as it was to return to competitive gymnastics after 5 years, Holly competed for the Aggies from 1994-1997, primarily on beam and floor. Holly graduated from UCDavis and went on to teach Kindergarten for eight years.

Holly resides in Ripon, California with her husband, who is also a teacher, and their two children, Jacob and Paige.  Holly has recently retired from coaching, but continues to judge when not representing GK at gymnastics meets.
