GK Proud to Unite With Another Successful Pink Invitational!

The 2012 Pink Invitational was an astounding success! The ongoing, stellar support of this event enables Unite for HER to help women affected by breast cancer, provide wellness education materials, and raise awareness. Save the date for next year's event - February 22-24, 2013!

GK was honored to create the gymnastics leotard for the Pink Invitational athletes. The leo was a beautiful, classic v-neck style made of Black Nylon/Spandex with Pink Bubblicious fabric on the right shoulder. The iconic Pink Ribbon was created with fuchsia nailheads and the GK and Unite for HER logos were artfully combined with Cheeky Pink and White embroidery. It has become a fun tradition at the Pink Invitational for teams to creatively accessorize!

A much loved tradition at the Pink Invitational is the popular BRAvado Art Inspired Exhibit. This year, there were 18 sports bras turned one-of-a-kind creations by gymnastics celebrities. Their creations were then raffled off to raise funds for Unite for HER. Perhaps even more valuable than the funds raised by BRAvado each year, is the open forum the event creates for girls to talk about breast health care. With breast cancer awareness and education at the heart of the Unite for HER mission, BRAvado was an immeasurable success.

New to the event this year was the donation of a Couture Collection Leotard by GK and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS for Unite for HER to raffle off at the Pink Invitational. The stunning long sleeve competitive gymnastics leotard evokes both strength and beauty, featuring Black and Petal Pink Mystique fabrics that provide a premium backdrop for the 10,000+ handset Classic and Diamond Leaf SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS adorning the garment. Due to the generosity of Swarovski, the leotard designer, Julia Kline, was able to choose an array of gorgeous hues to illuminate the leotard including Crystal Moonlight, Rose, Indian Pink, Fuchsia, Ruby, Hyacinth, Topaz, Crystal Golden Shadow, and more. The unparalleled leotard design carries an approximate retail value of $5,000. The fantasy leotard was on display during the event with many attendees remarking that it was even more spectacular in person. Over 4,500 raffle tickets were sold for a chance to take it home.

These two uniquely fantastic raffle events at this years' Pink Invitational created an incredible outreach initiative for girls and young women in addition to raising over $4,300 ensuring that the Unite for HER mission will continue.

to pull the winning ticket for the couture leo. The lucky winner of the GK Couture Leotard Design was Bryn Kanagy of Centre Elite, a Level 4 Gymnast from Reedsville, Pennsylvania. Congratulations Bryn! What an awesome addition to your GK gymnastics leotard collection!
